Rustic restaurant, nice niches to sit by the window, castle in good condition, not far from the Ilzwanderweg. Food very tasty and nicely presented. Good selection of dishes, something for everyone. You can also order everything in senior portions. The wait staff are all very friendly and accommodating if you have a special or extra request. You are in good hands there🤩

Well-preserved castle and palace complex, 500 m from the Ilz hiking trail. The nature park information point is also worth a visit.

Ilz valley hiking trail towards Spiegelau is a dream landscape

Rustic dining room, terrace clearly too small. Salad from the buffet is ok, fried chicken was juicy and crispy, gnocchi with wild garlic were good. Upscale is suggested in advertising. Good middle-class yes, upscale no, therefore only 3 stars, otherwise 4.

Friendly service. The quality of the food was very good. The price performance level is okay. Parking is available free of charge. After a hike through the Ilztal valley you can fortify yourself again. This country inn can also be visited under corona conditions. Stay healthy and hopefully better times will come soon.

A lovely place, hidden away in the forest from the usual hum drum. This place is unique and the staff are super friendly and ever so helpful. There are about 10 rooms, some with lovely views of the surrounding country side, others over looking the courtyard. Build around 1200 AD. A great, relaxing destination which can be used as one's base whilst exploring, on foot or by car, the local countryside.
